CST in Europe

Anthea Millar recently returned from Greece after delivering two days of training for the Greek Adlerian Institute, one on 'Working Through Fear' for laypeople, and another for psychologists and psychotherapists on 'Developments in Trauma Work'. The challenge of vicarious trauma is a crucial area to address in supervision, and in the participants' positive feedback this was identified as being of particular help and importance.

Anthea has also been invited to lecture and present training in a number of Eastern European countries in the coming year. In March 2012 she will be lecturing on trauma at Vilnius University, Lithuania, and over two weeks in April she will be providing a 3-day training for psychologists and therapists in Bucharest, Romania and then 5 days training for the Department of Education at Trakia University, Bulgaria.

In July 2012, in her capacity as a co-chair and member of faculty, Anthea will return to Lithuania to teach at ICASSI, the 2 week international Adlerian summer school. This major international event, held in a different country every year, offers both professionals and laypeople from at least 23 different countries many learning opportunities and lots of fun. Penny Henderson offered one and a half days of supervision training in Stockholm in October 2011 with students from the supervision training courses at the Erica Foundation and SAPU, and their supervisors and trainers.
